I have received a few enquiries regarding the complete fixture for 2012, which has not yet been published on our website. In previous years, we have seen a number of significant changes made to the fixture during the first couple of weeks of the season, so I am waiting to receive the next update from the EFL (due after round 1) before I post the full fixture on here, otherwise it might just get confusing for everyone. In the meantime, you can download the current version of the complete fixture directly from the EFL website. As always, please check with your team’s coach/manager for any last-minute changes. New Players Needed We are still looking for players to register for most age groups for the 2012 season, especially U9, U11, U13, U14 and U15. If you want to play this year and haven’t yet registered, or if you know anyone who would like to play, please contact registrations@wsjfc.org.au for details. Registration forms can be downloaded from the Downloads section of the website. Mouthguard Contact For safety reasons, it is strongly recommended that players at all levels use mouthguards when playing junior football. If you need to get a mouthguard for the season, please contact John Laukens on 03 9800 4290 for information. Pre-season training has already started, and we still have room for players at all levels, so if you haven’t registered yet, now is the time to do so. Our second player registration day will be held at the Senior Club in Tyner Road on Sunday 12 February between 10AM and 1PM, so please come along and sign up. Registration forms are available here. Even though the season just ended, it’s never too early to start getting ready for a new year of awesome, grass-roots, junior footy, and so we’re holding our first registration day for the 2012 season in less than two weeks from now! To register for all age groups (Under 8′s to Under 17′s) for next year, just come along to Knox Ozone (Opposite Village Cinema) on Sunday, November 13 between 10AM and 4PM and sign up. It looks like being a terrific day for a Grand Final, and what better way to enjoy it than by watching our very own Under 16s battle it out against Lilydale for that coveted PREMIERSHIP FLAG? Last Sunday saw our Under 16′s record a solid victory in the Second Semi Final, defeating Montrose 13.11-89 to 6.5-41. This earns Dean and the boys another week off, and a berth in the Grand Final! CONGRATULATIONS DEVILS! The Grand Final will be played at Vermont Recreation Reserve at 2:30PM on Sunday August 14th, between the Wantirna South Devils and the winner of this coming Sunday’s Preliminary Final between Montrose and Lilydale.
